Dear Parents/Guardians:

Rolling Meadows has arranged a ski trip to Glen Eden for the Junior Division to be held on Wednesday, January 18, 2017.

This trip will provide many students with their first exposure to skiing and is an extension to the Physical Education program.  STUDENTS NOT PARTICIPATING IN THE SKI TRIP WILL BE EXPECTED TO ATTEND SCHOOL AS USUAL.

We will be taking attendance at 7:00 a.m. in the auditorium in order to leave at 7:15 a.m. and returning by approximately 4:30 p.m.  This will mean all the bus students must make alternate arrangements to get to and from school.  You will understand that such a trip involves extra hazards beyond those of normal school activities.  It is essential that the students be counselled on the necessity for extra care and cooperation.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To be well behaved
  • To be properly prepared with appropriate clothing for the weather
  • To be responsible for own lunch – packed or bought at cafeteria
  • To attend scheduled lessons-this is mandatory!
  • To use good sense in choosing hills/trails according to ability
  • To be punctual for lessons, returns and bus
  • To ski with at least two others
  • To cooperate with supervisors and instructors

PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED CONSENT FORM FOR PRICING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION. ALL COSTS INCLUDE THE PRICE OF TRANSPORTATION. PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO TIMELINES, THESE FORMS NEED TO BE RETURNED TOMORROW, FRIDAY, DECEMBER 23, 2016.  PAYMENT IS NOT REQUIRED AT THIS TIME.

***Snowboarding might not be available if we do not have a minimum of 10 students.***

We would prefer that you use Cashless Schools to make payments for this field trip.
