Volunteer at Rolling Meadows!
Do you want to volunteer in a classroom, go on field trips, help with Pizza Day or in the library?
All volunteers at Rolling Meadows are required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC).
Below is a step-by-step guide to help you complete this process smoothly. Once this process is completed you will be able to continue to volunteer at Rolling Meadows for the duration of your child(ren's) time at our school, provided that you complete the Annual Offence Declaration.
How to Obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check:
You can apply for a VSC in person or online through the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS).
Online Application:
Go to the HRPS Online Police Check Portal and register for an account:
Select Vulnerable Sector Check and follow the instructions.
In-Person Application:
Visit HRPS Headquarter locatied at 2485 North Service Road West, Oakville and use the Computer Kiosk to complete your application.
Bring 2 pieces of government-issued ID (one must include a photo).
Cost:
The application fee is $30. Payment can be made online using a credit card or in-person at the police station.
Processing Time:
Processing time varies from 2 to 4 weeks from the date of application.
Submit your VSC to the School Office:
Once you have received your Vulnerable Sector Check, please drop it off in the office or send a copy to Ms. Conboy at conboyk@hdsb.ca.
Your Vulnerable Sector Check is good for the duration of the time that your child is at Rolling Meadows. You will simply need to complete an annual offence declaration each fall.
